So cute

I like these clothes so much. Unfortunately I have to wait for a baby girl before I can buy these kawaii looking clothes.

Boiling pot of stew

Had a silly row with hubby yesterday over Jonathan's chinese name.

I guess both of us are feeling stressed up and tempers flared. Anyway, it was a short outburst and we are okay now.

I am now 36 weeks, 5 days pregnant. 27th November 2009 is a holiday. Wondering whether Jonathan will be around by then to entertain me with his cute face.

El Cerdito

Had dinner with dad and Arthur at El Cerdito, 47, Changkat Bukit Bintang, KL. A restaurant serving pork from head to toes. Nice! I like.

Doctor's check up

Went for Doctor's check up today. I was happy to hear that baby is fine and I can go back to work. I don't need any medication and the only things I need to do is monitor baby's movement together with the signs of labour.

I was grounded for a week in the house with nothing much to do except watching Astro on demand, internet and of course, alot of bed rest. Hubby comes back during lunch time to bring me lunch and he doesn't like it when he sees me on the pc. He wants me lying flat on the bed.

Anyway, I am now in my 36 week and baby is about 2.8kg. Finger cross that everything will be fine. I wonder whether it was too much exercise and housework which resulted in this episode.

I can't do much lately anyway, I got so tired after ironing just 6 handkerchiefs and ended up sleeping for 2 hours after that. Weird!!

That's all.

Stay baby, stay in there

Just got discharged from the hospital after a night's stay there. Set me back RM 700. &*@#$..

The verdict, baby wants to come out early at 35 week and Doc said, its not a good time.

I was put on medication and monitoring to ensure that baby's arrival can be pushed till 38 weeks.

I would have enjoyed the stay better if the room was installed with tv. There is basically nothing much in the room, I was staying in a delivery suite and there was some funny looking machines in the room. The only person that can accompany me in the room is Jeff and I couldn't go to the canteen neither could I walk around labour ward to look at newborn babies.

At one point in time, I was alone in the room as Jeff drove off to pack some clothes, toiletries and laptop. It was a horrid experience as it was surround sound from a woman giving birth to a baby with the nurses and the doctor telling her to "Push, push, one strong push...." and I was so alarmed that I started praying for the woman. She finally gave birth shortly and I heard the baby crying. Fierce crying. So I wanted to have a glimpse of the baby, and stood outside my room door. Once again, the nurse asked me to go back into my room. *cheh*

So, we were confined in my room with a laptop (luckily, I had alot of HK series downloaded into the laptop last time) but no wifi connection. It sucks. The only thing moving in my room like what Jeff said was, the ticking clock. Both of us looking at the huge clock on the wall ticking ever so slowly, from 10am slowly to 2pm and when it reached 4pm, both of us were so restless. The only excitement was waiting for the food to arrive. *Blek*

Slept early and both of us woke up at 3am, feeling so bored but we forced ourselves to sleep. Nurses came in to check on my pressure, temperature and of course the baby's heartbeats every hour. At 7am, nurse woke me up and asked me to shower and change into a new hospital robe. Waiting for the doctor to arrive, was a torture. When he finally came at 9:38am, I was beaming and when he said, "Good, you can be discharged today." I was so delighted. Finally, I can fly!!!

Now that I am back at home, I can't fly that much also ler!! I am basically grounded in the house, with nothing much to do. No housework, no swimming, no cooking. Just bed rest.

Hubby plonked a big suitcase on my bed and asked me to start putting in everything for my hospital stay.

It’s not JUST milk. It’s baby food for goodness’s sake

Chatter:

“Pweet....pweet….”
“Ohhhhhhh, looking at pretty girl ler, want to die arr?”
“No need to buy Similac, that girl.”
“Eh....doctor said, breasts size does not determine whether there is breast milk or not ler.”
“Ya..ya…want to console yourself only is it?”
“………”

A normal groceries shopping turned into the most complex task ever when you are deciding which brand of milk to buy for your baby. You have Enfagrow, Enfalac, Bebelac, Similac, Frisco, Mamil and the list goes on and on. It’s a total head case.

It was sickening standing at the aisle looking at all the infant formulas and not reaching any concrete conclusion on which brand of infant milk to buy for Jonathan. Hubby was busy talking to his friends who are already fathers on the infant formula to buy and I stood there waiting for him.

Supermarkets should put chairs at the aisle for mothers’ buying things for their babies. Most pregnant ladies are absentminded and they can’t make up their mind on what to buy. Even if, they do know what they want to buy, they will be standing there for ages deciding on the size, the texture, the colour, blah….blah….it’s just a very tiring affair. And it would be God sent if we could do our shopping sitting on a chair. *Blek*

To end off, we finally settled for Similac seeing it’s manufactured in Singapore. I don’t want to go into detail, but I guess you will know why.

Much better

Chatter:

"Dear dear, I want to go Singapore."
"Oh....why?"
"This tour agency has some promotion right up to the end of this year."
"So, do you think you can go?"
"Ya..."
"Of course not, you can't fly now, you know???"
"This is not by air, but by coach. Hehe!!"

"5 hours on the bus?!? You siao arr? You are now heavily pregnant. What if baby decides to make his arrival in Singapore, then where am I to find you a hospital?"
"Ummm......."
"No, cannot go....I am not bringing you there!"

To all the kind souls out there, I am feeling much better now. Slept like a pig last night and I am going shopping tonite. Hurray!

34 weeks, 3 days pregnant

I don't know whether it's one of those days or will it be sticking with me right through my delivery.

I suffered from indigestion yesterday from a lunch I had, of plain meehoon and goreng pisang. It was so horrid that I did not even have the appetite to eat my dinner. I ate two oranges, hoping that it will help, sipping hot water, all to no avail. I was finding it hard to breath and everything just doesn't seem right. I can't sleep, I cannot sit comfortably. I only got better after vomitting twice at 11:30pm.

I thought, oh well, I could now sleep better with the indigestion gone. Unfortunately, I kept on moving trying to look for "the" best position to sleep and only managed to shut eye at 4am. I woke up feeling like a piece of shit at 8am and then made a mad rush to the office. What a Monday morning to begin the week with.

Something to sweeten up my day

Chelson and Sook Fong's wedding

Attended a wedding dinner last Saturday at Banker's club. I am so big now (my waist line is 40 inches) that I didn't have anything nice to wear for the wedding. Sad!

I like the wedding dinner's theme. A fairy-tale wedding with a singer singing bossa nova sort of song like Fly me to the moon just to name one. It's hard to find singers singing bossa nova and also songs that I like. You can call me an old soul. Teeheehee!! Food was average but the ambiance is first class.

Everyone treated me like a princess maybe because my tummy was extremely big and I was the one and only pregnant lady there.

Hubby found me a chair and I was seated at a corner, while everyone was standing for like 60 minutes minimum.

Confetti....yippee

I like the lantern looking decor. Hubby said it was orange, but the skin felt like tomato to me.

Playing a fool with a very huge bottle of I-dunno-what. 1.5 litre.
